CENTRAL LOMBOK, NTB – Having been on the run for 37 days, finally the suspected perpetrator of the theft of a motorbike (curanmor) was arrested by the Puma Team of the Central Lombok Police with the Pujut Police Criminal Investigation Unit, on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at around 00.30 WITA,
Central Lombok Police Chief AKBP Irfan Nurmansyah, SIK, MM through Pujut IPTU Police Chief Derpin Hutabarat, SH, M.Hum through his official statement confirmed the arrest of the alleged perpetrator who had been on the People’s Wanted List (DPO).
The identity of the alleged perpetrator of the DPO with the initials KR, 27 years old, male, the address is Sengkol Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency.
The incident began on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at around 12.21 pm, Victim Initials IJ, who is a resident of Medan, North Sumatra Province with his friend came on vacation to Kuta Mandalika, Central Lombok Regency.
Then the victim continued his vacation to Box Cave in Gerupuk Hamlet, Sengkol Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency.
After arriving at the destination, the victim parked his motorbike with the handlebar locked and put 1 padlock on the disc brake, then the victim headed up the hill and took the photo above for ± 5 minutes.
After finishing taking pictures, the victim and his friend came down from the hills and did not find the motorbike in its original place, only 2 helmets were left.
The victim reported the incident to the Pujut Police for further action.
On August 24, 2022, the Puma Team of the Central Lombok Police and the Pujut Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to arrest the alleged theft perpetrators with the initials S and A while one suspected perpetrator with the initials KH managed to escape and was included in the People’s Wanted List (DPO).
With the help of the family, the alleged perpetrator with the initials KH was finally willing to surrender and was immediately secured to the Central Lombok Police for further processing.
From the results of the interrogation, KH admitted that he had committed theft along with other suspected perpetrators who had been secured beforehand and said that he had fled for about 37 days with different hiding locations.
Meanwhile, evidence in the form of a Honda Vario type motorcycle and a bag had been previously secured from two other suspected perpetrators.
